Let's Explore Empowerment with Melinda Waters & Kim Hanskamp
I remember the morning so clearly. The sun was yet to rise, and the dark winter morning offered no warmth to ease my nerves. A cold breeze, and my own anxiety, left me trembling. Seated in my car in an empty car park at 4.45 am, doubt filled my mind. There’s still time to turn back. You don’t need to make a fool out of yourself. Go home, back to your warm bed. No-one will ever even know you’ve been here.
Melinda Waters felt terrified of what faced her when she stepped into an unusual gym. Photographer Kim Hanskamp was there to record Melinda’s journey — and those of the remarkable women she met along the way.
